Equine Centre - Wagga Wagga's own regional Equestrian Facility, home to the Riverina Equestrian Association.
The Equine Centre is the teaching hub for students studying horse related subjects in Equine Science, Veterinary Science and Animal Science at Charles Sturt Univeristy. The centre owns a band of teaching horses including a purebred Connemara Pony stallion - Glenormiston Celtic Pride standing at stud.
The Equine Centre is also Wagga Wagga's regional Equestrian Facility, home to the Riverina Equestrian Association affiliated clubs in the REA Wagga Wagga Horse Trials Club, REA Wagga Wagga Show Jumping Club, REA Wagga Wagga Dressage Club, Riverina Reining Horse Association, Equine Students Association and also hosts an array of clinics, shows and an annual Performance Horse Sale.
Boasting a 35 x 80 metre indoor arena with irrigation and lights, two outdoor sand arenas, a 1* cross country course, the facility is a continual hive of activity. Wagga Wagga City Council have pledged a significant development to the facility and have already invested in some great facilities including sand arenas, parking areas and new covered day yards. The facility will continue to grow in 2014 with construction of further arenas, an amenities block and arena irrigation all commencing in January & February 2014.
